A highly qualified Board of Directors coupled with a powerful senior management team is driving Chaucer Energy's projects through to success in development, implementation and operation.
Mr McAully is an experienced Company Director having held senior roles over a diverse range of industry backgrounds such as financial services, energy generation, waste management, agribusiness, technology manufacturing, human resource management and food manufacturing.
He has experience as Chairman of three ASX listed companies, currently including the recently listed Pure Foods Tasmania Limited, and is a non-executive director for several privately-owned companies. He also served as Chairman of ASX listed ISG Company Cougar Energy Limited from 2006 to 2013.
Malcolm has held various executive management positions including National Manager for MLC Life when owned by the Lend Lease Group. He holds a Master of Business and qualifications in accounting, business management, mediation, turn around management and GAICD. Malcolm’s primary focus is strategy and project development, financial management, corporate governance and stakeholder relations.
Dr. Len Walker
Managing Director & CEO
Dr Len Walker is a graduate of Melbourne and Cambridge Universities in Geotechnical Engineering and Business Administration. After a 15-year career in consulting engineering, he spent 10 years in the development of emerging ASX Listed Companies in the resources sector, involving both gold mining and energy projects.
His interest in In Situ Gasification (ISG) began in 1982. He founded Linc Energy in 1996, and was responsible for development of the successful Chinchilla ISG demonstration which ran from 1999-2002. After its takeover by third parties, he founded ASX Listed Cougar Energy Limited in 2006, which undertook the ISG project at Kingaroy, Queensland prior to it being shut down by the State Government. The site was then subsequently fully rehabilitated and bond monies recovered.
Dr Walker founded Chaucer Energy Limited in 2016 to apply his technical and managerial experience to the development of commercial ISG projects internationally, commencing with a focus on Chile.
Mr. Valeri Melik has significant history with In Situ Gasification (ISG) projects, He holds Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) qualification in Electrical Power Systems and Networks from the State Oil Academy of Azerbaijan (former AZINEFTECHIM USSR). He also holds a Master of Engineering qualification from RMIT University, as well as, additional qualifications pertaining to Analogue, Microprocessor Based Digital Computer-Communication Systems and electro-mechanics. He is a Chartered Professional Engineer and Member of Engineers Australia in the fields of Electrical and Management.
